No, despite the incredibly enticing FREE claims, this is not one of those SPAM e-mails. Actually, it's about the collaboration between the Denver Metro SBDC and students who are a part of the Business School at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. The project gives needed practice to budding business students while simultaneously providing a valuable service FREE OF CHARGE to local small businesses.
Brief Description:Under the supervision of a university professor and an SBDC business
consultant, graduating business students will provide analysis and
strategic recommendations to businesses in exchange for the opportunity
to work on a real world consulting project.
The analysis will
help business owners improve their organizations’ effectiveness and
profitability while offering students the opportunity to enhance their
learning experience. Business owners will receive useful, hard-hitting
business information from bright and energetic business students. The
outlook is fresh and stimulating, and the academic perspective often
provides unique insights.
The plan will include:
· External Analysis (economy, industry, and competitors)
· Internal Analysis (company’s resources and competencies)
· Recommendations
How Long Will It Take?
The project will last one semester
(15 weeks) and generally requires approximately 10 hours of your time
over the course of that semester.
Who Can Apply?
· Businesses that have been in business more than one year
· Businesses with more than $100k in sales
